Windows in Time: Wayward Girls of the Rogue Valley, 18+ YRS

Windows in Time: Wayward Girls of the Rogue Valley, 18+ YRS Online

Jackson County has had its share of incorrigible girls. SOHS Archivist Jan Wright will explore case studies of girls from the 1880s to the 1920s who just wanted to have fun and break away from social restrictions. Learn more about the contributing factors of the girls' delinquency and society's response and attempted reforms to their behavior.

The monthly Windows in Time lunchtime lectures feature well-known writers and historians and bring alive the people, values, and events that shaped our southern Oregon heritage. Lectures are jointly sponsored by the Southern Oregon Historical Society (SOHS) and Jackson County Library Services.
