All About Owls with John Jackson

All About Owls with John Jackson

This summer John Jackson of Bugs-R-Us will present a variety of nature-themed programs at Jackson County Libraries during the summer reading program. These free programs are sponsored by the Kenneth A. and Lucille D. Hulburt Family Trust and are for kids of all ages.

Tuesday, July 18, 11:00 - 12:00 a.m., Butte Falls Branch Library, 626 Fir Ave.

Looking to get up close and personal with owls? Well, you will not want to miss John Jackson’s exhibit! Get “up close and personal” with real owl pellets. Play detective with latex gloves, tweezers, and magnifying glasses to find out what the owls eat.

Participants are invited to keep whatever or whomever they find inside the pellets. We will also discuss owls in the environment and the part they play in the food-web cycle, including hands-on time with a taxidermy barn-owl and fun with owl calls.
