August TED Talks: Health Care
The TED Talks theme for August is "Health Care". Enjoy fascinating talks on how health care systems could be improved on Tuesday, August 22 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Adams Room of the Medford Branch Library, 205 South Central Avenue.
The program will include video lectures by Eric Dishman: Health care should be a team sport, John Wilbanks: Let's pool our medical data, Rebecca Onie: What if our health care system kept us healthy?, and Carolyn Jones: A tribute to nurses.
Dishman is an Intel Fellow and general manager of Intel's Health Strategy & Solutions Group. Wilbanks is a Senior Fellow with the Kauffman Foundation and a Research Fellow at Lybba. Onie is the founder of Health Leads, a program that connects patients to basic care and resources. Jones directed and executive-produced the documentary film The American Nurse: Healing America.
