Guild Lecture Series Presents “10 Kid-Friendly Waterfall Hikes in Southern Oregon”

Southern Oregon is an amazing place for any outdoor enthusiast, and summer is the perfect time to enjoy the awesome beauty of our local waterfalls. Lanessa Pierce, owner of What to do in Southern Oregon, will provide tips on how to prepare for a hike with kids, where to go, and how to get there as the next topic of the Guild Lecture Series on Wednesday, July 19 from 12 Noon – 1:00 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room of the Medford Branch Library, 205 South Central Avenue.

“Some of our most beautiful waterfall hikes are actually easy to tackle with kids in tow,” said Pierce, mother of two and a life-long resident of Southern Oregon. “I will be sharing tips on how I get my own kids motivated to get out and enjoy hiking.”

Being prepared makes all the difference when hiking with kids, so the presentation will include info sheets and a checklist for local waterfall adventures.

The Guild Lecture Series is proudly sponsored by the Friends of the Medford Library. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact the Medford Library at 541-774-8685 or visit jcls.org.
