Windows in Time: " Hidden History: Backstories from Ashland and Medford History” Online
What could Lolita, Raggedy Ann, Tobacco Road, Lithia Auto Group, Camelot, mouse traps, a stolen election, a faith healer, a headless Lincoln, a 160-year-old cold case, and a “robber-Barron” possibly have in common? Join Joe Peterson as he relates their southern Oregon backstories, which may surprise you.
Joe Peterson has taught history, political science, and education courses at Southern Oregon University and has written and managed Teaching American History federal grants for the Southern Oregon Education Service District in Medford. He is the author of four books including two on the history of Ashland.
The monthly Windows in Time lunchtime lectures feature well-known writers and historians and bring alive the people, values, and events that shaped our Southern Oregon heritage. Lectures are jointly sponsored by the Southern Oregon Historical Society (SOHS) and Jackson County Library Services.
