Banned Book Club
Once a month, read and discuss a banned book. Explore what caused these books to be banned, what being banned means, and how this impacts us as a society. We will talk about the who and the why, and if we agree or disagree. The April discussion will be a combined session of both adults and teens.
June: Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut
July: The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison
August: The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie
