What Makes a Cheese?, 18+ YRS

What Makes a Cheese?, 18+ YRS

Have you ever wondered what makes a Cheddar different from a Swiss? (Hint: it’s not just the holes.) Many cheeses we’re familiar with in the grocery store start with the same basic ingredients, so what about the cheesemaking process results in such a wide range of flavors, textures, and smells? JCLS invites you to sample a variety of artisan cheeses while learning about the science and culture that contributes to making them truly distinct.

As a former Cheese Master, Cody Reese spent 8 years working in specialty cheese shops packaging, sampling, and peddling a selection of over 150 different artisan cheeses from around the world. During that time, Cody delivered a variety of tasting, pairing, and cooking demos to help share the wonders of cheese with his customers.

For dietary considerations, all cheeses provided will include dairy and will be vegetarian friendly, most will be produced from cow’s milk.
