Annular Solar Eclipse, All Ages

Annular Solar Eclipse, All Ages

Join us at the Butte Falls Library for the last eclipse in Oregon for over a hundred years! We will be providing free eclipse glasses! An Annular Eclipse is similar to a Total Eclipse where the Moon blocks the Sun as it passes between the Sun and the Earth; however, with an Annular Eclipse the Moon is farther away from the Earth than a Total Eclipse, making it look like there is a ring of fire around the Moon. The following times are specifically for Medford, OR, but should be very close to same time for the Butte Falls area.

  • Partial Annular Eclipse Starts: 8:05 AM
  • Total Annular Eclipse: 9:18AM - 9:19AM
  • Partial Annular Eclipse Ends: 10:40AM

WARNING: According to NASA, it is not safe to view this eclipse at any point when not wearing eclipse glasses or a a safe handheld solar viewer.
