Easy Bokashi Composting at Home, 12+ YRS
We will discuss and demonstrate how to effectively and efficiently compost household food scraps, the microorganisms involved in Bokashi composting, and the importance of keeping food scraps out of landfills.
Presenter Magdalena Winter is the program manager for Ashland Community Composting. She is an experienced composter who grew up on a farm in Uruguay. She studied permaculture design and biodynamic agriculture, and is now working with Bokashi microorganisms as an efficient way of creating compost with high fungal and microbial activity.
This workshop is best for ages 12 to adult, but families are welcome.
