Celebración de Cinco de Mayo: Un día de orgullo mexicano, 3+ YRS
What holiday is more misunderstood than Cinco de Mayo? While many Americans associate May 5th with parties, margaritas, and novelty hats, any Chicano or Mexican-American will tell you that this particular day (and what it represents) is a source of great pride for the community and the people who come from their heritage. This JCLS program will examine Cinco de Mayo in a fun and informative way; it will feature activities meant to engage an audience made up of any age group or demographic. Please join us at the Shady Cove Library to learn about Cinco de Mayo, a unique day in Mexican history and Mexican-American culture!
