Wildflower Embroidery, ALL AGES

Wildflower Embroidery, ALL AGES

Have you ever wanted to learn how to embroider, but just didn’t know where to start? Join us in making a beautiful wildflower embroidery keepsake. Learn the embroidery basics such as tools needed, different fabric types, ten basic embroidery stitches and more! Have fun, build community and take home your project. Kit includes: hoop, fabric, needle and thread! Registration required at jcls.org or by calling the Ruch Branch.

Embroidery has been traced back to the Iron Age and has been a part of many cultures across the world. Embroidery is for all genders and ages. Historically, embroidery has been utilized by women to gain employment or make income. The suffragettes used embroidery circles as an excuse to gather and make plans. Whether a novice or an expert, this class will be fun, educational, and you get to keep what you make!
