Bird Count with SOLC: Introduction to iNaturalist and eBird Workshop, (18+ YRS)

Partnering with the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy, this workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of community science, with a focus on initiatives such as the Christmas Bird Count and Project FeederWatch. Attendees will receive guidance on how to sign up for and navigate iNaturalist and eBird apps on mobile devices and desktops so that they can log their birding data throughout the winter months. The workshop will include a presentation on how data collected through these platforms contributes to local and international scientific research and conservation efforts.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a smartphone, laptop, or tablet and be prepared to download the recommended apps.
