Earth Day: Worm Composting Workshop and Celebration
Learn hands-on how to create a worm composting station for your household. We will learn the science and benefits of turning everyday kitchen scraps into excellent compost to feed your garden. This is an all-ages event with additional special activities for children and teens. Supplies are limited, and if you have old 18 gallon tote bins you would like to upcycle, please feel encouraged to bring them. The topmost compost, worm housewarming, vermicultural event to start the growing season!
There will be activities throughout the building for various ages. The Children's Department will host an on-theme craft and Story Time. The Teen department will join in the fun with a delicious "dirt" treat (supplies limited). Adult Services will have a fun scavenger hunt of plants in the building and promotion of our Seed Library.
