Join JCLS in an evening with YA author, Sabaa Tahir. Sabaa will discuss her journey from growing up in a California Mojave Desert motel, to writing emotion, character-driven YA fantasy and contemporary fiction. She explores themes of trauma, faith, and hope. Following the talk will be a Q&A, and a book signing. 

Sabaa Tahir is the New York Times-bestselling author of the 2022 National Book Award winner, All My Rage (which is also featured on the OBOB 9-12th grade book list). All My Rage is a heart-wrenching contemporary novel about family and forgiveness, love and loss, in a sweeping story that crosses generations and continents. 

In addition to All My Rage, Sabaa Tahir is the author of An Ember in the Ashes, a series of fantasy novels that have captured the attention of readers of all ages. 

As a child, Sabaa Tahir spent her time devouring fantasy novels, raiding her brother's comic book stash, and playing guitar badly. As an adult she likes thunderous indie rock, garish rocks, and all things nerd.
