Butterfly Release Party

Starting in July we will be raising a small group of Painted Lady caterpillars, watching them grow and develop.

Today we will be releasing them (weather permitting) with a farewell party. There will be butterfly themed crafts and snacks at the library's table at the Jamboree while we watch our butterflies take full flight and join their peers. Painted Lady butterflies are native to our area. This is the most common time to see them outside, so hopefully our group will find partners and increase the local population for next year.
