Bringing the Salmon Home Movie Screening, 18+ YRS

It is the largest salmon restoration project in history, and it is happening in our back yard!

We are pleased to host a short film and inspirational talk about the Klamath River Renewal Project taking place now in southern Oregon and northern California.  Screened as one of eight finalists out of 118 submissions at the Society for Ecological Restoration Film Festival in Denver, the 17-minute short film titled “Bringing the Salmon Home” tells the story of the world’s largest dam removal and river restoration project.  The film was directed and produced by Swiftwater Films in Partnership with RES and highlights the epic project and the essential partnership with tribal communities in restoring the river and bringing salmon back to their ancestral waters.   The film weaves together years of footage to share a powerful story of collaboration, resilience, and hope.

The film screening will be followed by a conversation with leaders with RES, the firm leading the restoration of the project area following removal of four dams on the Klamath River.  We hope you can join us for this informative and free event.
