OLLI at SOU Presents: Elements of Our Lives: The Periodic Table, 18+ YRS

In collaboration with the Jacksonville Library, OLLI at SOU presents instructor Tom Pratum with a course on the Periodic Table, one of the iconic symbols of our knowledge of the world around us. This course has three general topics: (1) how chemists think about elements, (2) how the Periodic Table came about and what it means, and (3) what are some of the significant chemical elements and how are they involved in our lives, locally and globally. No prior background is required.
