Spark Space Hours Presents: Why are birds the only surviving dinosaurs?, 8+ YRS

There’s no longer really any doubt that birds are a type of dinosaur. Birds evolved from a group of meat-eating dinosaurs called theropods. That’s the same group that Tyrannosaurus rex belonged to, although birds evolved from small theropods. The oldest bird-like fossils are more than 150 million years old. Learn about bird characteristics that allowed them to survive when all other dinosaurs died out. Design your own “birdosaur.”

Explore new interests with cool STEAM programs. Each session will explore a different topic in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Every first and third Tuesday of the month, unless otherwise indicated. Program is hosted in English.
