Think & Drink: Accessible Cities Panel

Think & Drink: Accessible Cities Panel

Accessibility to downtown is ensuring that our sidewalks and roads allow for all types of people, of all abilities and backgrounds, to be able to access their city in a safe and comfortable way. We will explore ideas about creating walkable spaces, reducing the demand for cars, what makes a great public space, and how to work towards implementing these ideas.

Join us on Facebook to participate in Virtually a Book Club, our new JCLS online book club this September. Read and discuss Walkable City Rules: 101 Steps to Making Better Places by Jeff Speck as part of our Facebook Group, then come to the "Think & Drink" for a discussion panel on the importance of accessibility to downtown at the Urban Cork in Medford Oregon.

This event is presented in partnership with Oregon Humanities, as well as the City of Medford, and the Friends of the Medford Library.
