DESCRIPTION:Join George Kramer as he explores the history and stories from 
 some of southern Oregon’s most historic buildings and provides a fun and 
 informative look at why these buildings are significant.\n\nGeorge Kramer 
 has a MS in historic preservation from the U of O and has been researching 
 and writing about Oregon buildings for over 30 years. The author of all 
 four of Ashland’s historic district nominations\, of Medford’s downtown 
 historic district\, and dozens of other individual listings in Jackson 
 County\, he has evaluated nearly 10\,000 structures all over Oregon for 
 NR-eligibilty. George is an Advisor to the National Trust for Historic 
 Preservation and RestoreOregon\, the statewide non-profit\, a former Chair 
 of the Oregon Heritage Commission\, and the current Vice-Chair of the 
 Oregon Cultural Trust. George and wife life in a 1911 bungalow in 
 Ashland.\n\nThe monthly Windows in Time lunchtime lectures feature 
 well-known writers and historians and bring alive the people\, values\, and 
 events that shaped our southern Oregon heritage. Lectures are jointly 
 sponsored by the Southern Oregon Historical Society (SOHS) and Jackson 
 County Library Services.
