Rogue Reads Take & Make: Birdwatching Kit, 18+ YRS

Rogue Reads Take & Make: Birdwatching Kit, 18+ YRS

Pick up a Take & Make Kit of birdwatching supplies. The kit will include guides to common local birds, a flyer with information about how to be involved with Cornell University’s Project Feederwatch, a bird data recording sheet, information about birdwatching materials that can be checked out from the library, and materials to make a pine cone bird feeder.

The Rogue Reads adult title, Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, teaches lessons on the interconnectedness of nature and what can be learned by slowing down and observing the natural world and its cycles. Kimmerer is a scientist whose Native American heritage informs her scientific work.

This kit is offered in partnership with the North Mountain Park Nature Center in Ashland. Kits are available while supplies last.
