A Photographic Journey to Iceland and the Faroe Islands with Sean Bagshaw

A Photographic Journey to Iceland and the Faroe Islands with Sean Bagshaw

Follow renowned landscape photographer Sean Bagshaw on a photography trip to the Faroe Islands and northern Iceland. The Faroe Islands are a remote North Atlantic island chain located northwest of Scotland, and about halfway between Norway and Iceland. Like Iceland, the terrain is rugged and the climate is windy, wet, cloudy, and cold—but the scenery is spectacular. Sean's presentation will include images, video, tall tales, and tips for traveling and photographing.

Sean is a landscape and travel photographer and photography educator from Ashland, Oregon. He started photography as a way to document climbs and treks he was doing when he was younger and generally more energetic. In time, he became more interested in photography than climbing. He continues traveling to the mountains and other wild landscapes to photograph, explore, and find adventure. Sean's first career was as a middle school science teacher, so photography education has been a natural part of his second career. He teaches, presents, and produces video courses on image developing. He is one of the members of Photo Cascadia, a team of Northwest-based friends/photographers who have the goal of spreading stoke for exploration, conservation, and landscape photography. In 2020 Photo Cascadia published a photo book called Oregon My Oregon: Land of Natural Wonders.
