Join Carole Nielson for a presentation on the Yucatan peninsula and the Mayan Civilization. The Mayan civilization flourished on the Yucatan and parts of Central America for nearly 3,000 years. They built great cities, developed a written language, invented a type of paper, and one of the worlds most accurate calendars.
