Eygpt

Learn about Egypt in this fascinating talk by Carole Nielson. The pyramids of the Giza Plateau were built 4,500 years ago with blocks of limestone weighing from 2 1/2 tons to 9 tons. Walls and ceilings of tombs in the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens were painted with scenes that are as vivid today as they were over 3,000 years ago. It is a mystery how the artists had enough light to create such intricate paintings. A 4,500 year-old ship made of cedar of Lebanon and Acacia wood is preserved in a climate controlled museum where it was found near the pyramids.
