Short Story Contest & Writing Lounge

Short Story Contest & Writing Lounge

This October, in preparation for NaNoWriMo, JCLS invites writers in three age categories (middle school, high school, and college) to write a short adventure story starring themselves. Entries must be 3,000-5,000 words.

Winners (one from each age group) will receive a fabulous prize and be published on the JCLS website. Prizes will set writers up for NaNoWriMo success, and include noise cancelling headphones and a gift card for beautiful writing materials at Papier.

Visit the library's writing lounge for a dedicated space to write, featuring calming music, brain food, and a collaborative space to work and bounce ideas and feedback off of each other.
