Resilient Reads

Resilient Reads

Up to a third of the people we know are introverts. They don’t thrive on endless meetings, don’t want to solve a problem by talking about it with a group for hours, and don’t want to attend lunches, conferences, and dinners all the time.

As professionals and business owners, we have a lot to learn from the introverts among us – and strides to make to create a more inclusive work culture. Whether you identify as an introvert or an extrovert (or are saying a-what-a-vert? to yourself!), there’s a lot to learn from this quarter’s Resilient Reads book, Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking. Read it now and join us September 22

Resilient Reads is a book group for business owners and professionals in the community presented in collaboration with SOREDI and Jackson County Library Services. Each quarter, we will select a book to read and then meet to discuss the book and other ideas. Books will be provided at no cost in partnership with local donors. Register for the event to get book pick up details.

Not a big reader? No worries. Choose a chapter or section that speaks to you and come enjoy the conversation! You can also check the Libby app to borrow ebooks or audiobooks from JCLS.

Join us in-person for connective conversation around this book.

Paperback copies of Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking are available for pickup in two places: the Medford Cowork Collective front desk, or at the Medford library at the second floor reference desk.

If you are looking for a library copy, find them here. Note: the eAudiobook format has a long holds list. Do not be deterred; two of those copies are reserved for JCLS cardholders. If you place a hold with a JCLS card, you'll move ahead of the line when one of the reserved copies comes available.
